Diploma In Global Ministry
The emphasis of the Diploma In Global Ministry is "radical Christian discipleship for the 21st Century." The student needs to complete 16 subjects equivalent to 3 credit subjects in the USA. This course is best suited for missionaries and for workers in Christian charities and NGOs - as well as for Christians seeking spiritual growth.
This is not pastoral training for formal church work, it is discipleship training for dealing with real world issues. If you want pastoral training then the Harvestime course would be better suited for your purposes.
The core concepts include: knowledge of the life and ethics of Jesus, the cross, and the gospel which is applied to the inner world of the Christian and the outer world of global realities. The course teaches powerful ways of acting and living as an effective global Christian empowered by the Holy Spirit. The subjects are listed below.
The course is from a charismatic renewal theological standpoint.
The course is not formally accredited in the USA but this is currently being pursued by GlobalChristians.Org. The goal of this course should be personal growth and effective equipping for being a transformational Christian.
Requirements: The Diploma In Global Ministry will be awarded when the student has successfully completed all 16 subjects. Assessment for most courses is by writing a 1500 word (4 page) term paper. Term papers should be scripturally based and demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application of the course material. Term papers should be done in MS-Word or similar format (Wordperfect, RTF , PDF) and may be sent to the lecturer at any time. See the Assessment Center for help with assessment. Certificates of Completion are given after the successful completion of each subject.
Texts: Free etexts for the most subjects (except ethics) are available and these are generally sufficient for the course. Other good supplementary texts can be purchased online through Amazon.com
Cost: Free for students in developing nations, $50 enrollment fee (per annum) plus $10 assignment marking fee (per subject) for students in developed nations. Click here to pay online
